Mynahs & Starlings

Summary

Gallery:

Mynahs and Starlings are members of the family (Sturnidae).

The Mynahs (also spelled Myna) are passerine birds native to large parts of Central and Southern Asia but are also found in Africa and Australasia. Mynahs are known for their sweet call, superior problem-solving abilities, and renowned imitation skills.

Starlings are small to medium-sized passerine birds known for the often dark, glossy iridescent sheen of their plumage; their complex vocalizations including mimicking; and their distinctive, often elaborate swarming behavior, known as murmuration. European Starlings are birds of character. Often regarded as the spivs of the bird world, they are a species that will, given half a chance, take over the bird table.
